Hi,

Thanks for all your work maintaining debian-games.

It's been a few years since we've added anything new to games-finest, and I
think endless-sky would be a great choice. It's pretty polished, and runs
great in Debian even on basic GPUs. It has shown up on several
best-of-open-source lists, eg:

There aren't many other games in debian main like it: I guess just naev and
oolite (oldstable), and none of those are in games-finest. Also, the popcon
numbers for endless-sky are already ahead of several other simulation games
in games-finest:

    47  pinball-data
    43  foobillardplus
    40  lincity-ng

endless-sky looks really good and seems to be a fun game. However there haven't
been any Debian uploads from the maintainer in almost six years and several new
versions of endless-sky have been released since then. If we can fix this
situation, then I would include it in games-finest. At the moment that would be
premature.

Looks like #944757 is resolved now! Hopefully once the new versions gets
into testing, this is unblocked.

Hi again. It looks like endless-sky 0.10.2 has been in testing for awhile,
with no reported bugs. This version is quite new, updated in 2023. What do
you think about adding it to games-finest now?
