Dear Maintainer,

Using the remote-viewer command to connect via SPICE to a VM running on the
local host:

remote-viewer spice://localhost:5901

VM and host are both running bullseye with the MATE desktop. There are two
1900x1200 monitors, and I'm using both of them in full-screen mode with
remote-viewer.

At first, memory usage, as reported by `ps -o rss`, is stable, staying under
800MB for the first 22 hours or so. After that, it begins to rise rapidly,
reaching 10GB another 13 hours or so later.

A gnuplot image of the RSS (in kilobytes) over time:

Would this be fixed with the experimental 9.0-1 version?
