Hi,

I'd like to introduce a new source package into stable:
  src:nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-470 (upstream EoL planned 07/2024)
as a successor to
  src:nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-460 (upstream EoL planned 01/2022)
  src:nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-450 (upstream EoL planned 07/2023)
470 supports a superset of the GPUs supported by the 450 and 460 series,
but came a bit too late to be included into bullseye from the beginning.

The atached patch is against nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-460/stable and
therefore very similar to the one in #1005129 (for upgrading
src:nvidia-graphics-drivers from 460.* to 470.*) and most of the
comments there apply here as well.

This update will require to introduce src:nvidia-settings-tesla-470 into
stable, too.
And it will require an update of src:nvidia-modprobe to 470+ as well.

Please go ahead, thanks.

Given the timing, I suspect we may not manage to get the new source
packages into 11.3. If we don't, do we need to not include any other
nvidia-* that might have been uploaded at that point?

Regards,

Adam

Our QA checks noticed an installability issue - the uploaded amd64
libegl-nvidia-tesla-470-0 package depends on "libnvidia-egl-wayland1
(>= 1:1.1.7)", but stable only has 1:1.1.5-1.

Adam

Oops, looks like I accidentally uploaded a package built in sid instead
of bullseye (upload with binaries due to NEW).
Could you just binNMU it after it got accepted?

nmu nvidia-graphics-drivers-tesla-470_470.103.01-2~deb11u1 . ANY . bullseye . -m "Rebuild in a clean bullseye environment."
