I have filed ITA bug #1110437 to adopt libbs2b.

My plan includes:
- Switching the upstream source to the maintained GitHub fork at https://github.com/alexmarsev/libbs2b
- Updating Debian packaging to current policy and standards
- Resolving existing lintian warnings and reproducibility issues
- Maintaining ABI compatibility

My work will be hosted on Salsa and submitted for sponsorship via debian-mentors.

Hi,

Status update on libbs2b adoption:

 * 3.1.0+dfsg1-1 uploaded to mentors (new upstream fork; +dfsg1 repack dropping win32/ and autogen.sh).
 * Patch stack split/cleaned; symbols file and autopkgtests (smoke + compile) added.
 * RFS filed as #1111136 (sponsorship-requests).
