   * What led up to the situation?
      I've no stable internet connection (a simple ping leads to >50%
      data loss, it looks like after every 4-5th ping there are 5missing
      pings)

Dear Maintainer,

as stated before, connection seems to come and go with realtek 8821ce driver
provided. It's only fixed after installing the dkms module from
https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce. I don't know much about firmware and
drivers, so I can't tell what's in that repository that is not already in the
package. Maybe a package realtek-dkms could be a fix?
