Something I overlooked.

Version 2.9.0-1 is already in NEW and, with some luck, should be in unstable
soon followed by 2.9.0-2 (source upload) which won't have this issue.

2.9.0-1 is in unstable, I just uploaded 2.9.0-2 as a source-only build, and
the bug can now be closed as 2.8.3-2 was transient.
