I hereby declare my intention to salvage "libcap-ng" package using the
procedure described in the Developer's Reference (5.12) and the Debian
Wiki <https://wiki.debian.org/PackageSalvaging>.

There is several open bugs with this package, none which the maintainer
has responded to, the oldest is dated 2019-12-24

There is also a request for a update to a newer upstream release.
#1004519 dated 2022-01-29.
The current version was released 2018-02-17, and there has been six
releases after this.

The last two uploads was with NMU, the last by me in 2020-06-08, while
the last maintainer upload dates back to 2019-01-14

My intention is to keep this package in good shape, if you want to
resume

To fix most of the issues with this package, I've prepared a salvaging
upload for libcap-ng (versioned as 0.7.9-3), debdiff attached. I have
uploaded it to mentors awating sponsership, this will then be uploaded
with at least DELAYED/7. Please feel free to tell me if I should delay
it longer or even cancel it.

libcap-ng, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
