I believe this is due to #1011038 and/or #1011051. AFAICT nothing needs doing on the interimap side while these are open. Leaving -1 open though so no one files a duplicate.
Closing this since interimap now builds on an up to date sid chroot. I don't think it's worth uploading 0.5.7-2 with tighter versioning requirements since the issue only affects build-time tests and autopkgtests, not the binary packages. Also AFAICT there is no way to express the Build-Depends constraints in d/control: tests pass with openssl <3 and any dovecot version, or with openssl 3 and dovecot ≥1:2.3.19.
