Dear Dmitry and Anthony,

I was wandering in the dependencies of the kind tool (which I'm
attempting to package), in the need of the gnostic module. Therefore
I packaged it (not uploaded) from scratch [0].

It's only later that I noticed we already have a previous version in
the archive with name `golang-github-googleapis-gnostic-dev` but it's
too old for my purposes and needs a good refresh of paths and name.

The old path is
  /usr/share/gocode/src/github.com/googleapis/gnostic

The new path is
  /usr/share/gocode/src/github.com/google/gnostic

As a consequence, the binary package should be renamed to
`golang-github-google-gnostic-dev`.

Because some CLI tools have been added, a new binary pacage is also
needed with, I guess, name `gnostic`.

I light of this, I think the source package should be renamed to
`gnostic` as well.

Essentially upgrading your golang-github-googleapis-gnostic-dev is
equivalent to upload my new - almost ready to go - package modulo
history and uploaders.

How do you prefer to proceeed? I'm open to any option as long it can
be uploaded sooner than later.

Regards,
Domenico

severity 1012724 serious
thanks

This package has no reverse dependencies inside Debian, and as you
noticed it is no longer named correctly even if would be upgraded to a
later version. I'm bumping the severity of this bug to serious to
trigger autoremoval from forky/testing, and I think we should consider
removing the package altogether.

Please continue your packaging of 'gnostic' under the modern Go source
package name if you are still interested in that, don't let this
obsolete package stop you.
