Dear Maintainer, The package is ill-configured and end up putting gost.so in the root of the filesystem (/gost.so), as shown in [1]. The source of the issue is [2], which is empty... This seems to be caused by last NMU :( libengine-gost-openssl 3.0.1-1, which fixes that (and other) problem, and also deprecates libengine-gost-openssl1.1, is in the NEW queue. I will leave the bug open, though, until it installs in the archive, as a reminder. Thanks for the report!
