Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "vcdimager":

 * Package name    : vcdimager
   Version         : 2.0.1+dfsg-6
   Upstream Author : Herbert Valerio Riedel <hvr@gnu.org>
 * URL             : https://www.gnu.org/software/vcdimager/
 * License         : GPL-2.0-only, GPL-2.0+
 * Vcs             : https://salsa.debian.org/debian/vcdimager

The source builds the following binary packages:

  vcdimager - VideoCD (VCD) image mastering and ripping tool
  libvcdinfo-dev - library to extract information from VideoCD (development files)
  libvcdinfo0 - library to extract information from VideoCD

I can only see the two upper changes in the diff to unstable.

If you think #223888 was addressed with version 2.0.1+dfsg-4 then please close that bug with an email to
223888-done@bugs.debian.org referencing that version with the Version: pseudo header. Your changes do not include this
change and so it should not be in the changelog.

I am closing this RFS because it does not accomplish anything besides changing the maintainer.

Hi,

I submitted the email to close the bug, as you suggested.

There are no other relevant bugs to address with this package currently. I'm fairly new to Debian and am looking to get more involved in the community. I know one of the suggested ways to do this is to adopt orphaned packages. vcdimager is a dependency of software that I use so I thought adopting it and ensuring it has a maintainer would be good for Debian.
