Dear Maintainer,

upgrading my system to the latest available packages (including the lvm2
version from 2022-07-03), I'm now unable to have a new initramfs
generated, as the lvm2 hook fails and initramfs-tools aborts.

I tracked it down to the missing 69-lvm-metad.rules, which is expected
to be either in /etc/udev/rules.d/ or in /lib/udev/rules.d/, as per
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/lvm2

Not being able to create a new initramfs might make some systems
unbootable, hence the severity.

I have a changed configuration file (as reported below), but I'm pretty
sure it's irrelevant for this problem. Will gladly post it if it turns
out to be relevant after all.

Many thanks for maintaining and I hope the problem is easy to fix.

Best, Mara

sorry, this is a duplicate of #1014314. Somehow reportbug didn't show
that one to me? I'm pretty sure I looked at the existing issues it
printed ..
