Hello, Please update privacybadger to 2023.12.1 in Debian unstable. https://github.com/EFForg/privacybadger/releases Best, Amr
Privacy Badger is now 5 years out of date. I'm seeing user reports that it no longer works in chromium (I tested it with 140, it possibly broke in earlier versions, and is likely related to the manifest V3 changes). In addition, as a tool that's intended to protect users against hostile web actors, a lack of updates leaves users with a false sense of security and outdated block lists (and that's assuming no actual security issues!). It should really be pulled from the archive or updated. In my opinion it shouldn't have been released with trixie in its current state, but c'est la vie.
We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of privacybadger, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive. A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached. Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you have further comments please address them to 1014544@bugs.debian.org, and the maintainer will reopen the bug report if appropriate.
