After installing updates via apt from debian repositories, and rebooting the host, wifi connectivity no longer possible.
Network manager show no available networks in Gnome UI, attempts to reconfigure wifi in gnome UI, fails to connect to known networks.

There was no issues connecting to wifi networks before upgrade.

Bluetooth no longer works reliably, audio stream to Bluetooth devices (headphones) became unusable. Sound interrupts every ~30 to 40 ms.

Bluetooth audio was working normally before upgrade.

Hello,

I'd love to provide the debug log for the network-manager, but I do not know where this log is written.
I looked under /var/log and could not see anything related to the network-manager.

Host had no issues with network @ 2022-07-09 09:01:51 (SPT)

and right after installing upgrades and rebooting, by 2022-07-09 09:03:09 (PST) - network is gone.

Mr. Biebl, when you requesting ' debug log showing
the problem', could you please be more specific when exactly do you mean by that. Is there some sort of a log written by the 'network-manager' package or you are asking for a general dmesg output?

Here's the log from apt:

...as you can see among other things kernel got upgraded but I ruled it out. I have rebooted to a previous kernel used with out any issues with network (this is debian bullseye vanilla), and... no network. So I assumed this is not kernel related.

There was no changes to hardware, literally i just ran apt update && apt upgrade.

Looking at the log from apt, what has changed... and may be related to the network, I could not think of anything else other than:
network-manager:amd64 (1.30.0-2, 1.30.6-1+deb11u1),
libnm0:amd64 (1.30.0-2, 1.30.6-1+deb11u1)

What is a huge bummer, the previous versions of the packages that worked reliably - is not in the default Debian repositories.
So to my attempt to do: apt install network-manager=1.30.0-2, apt said to me - nope!

Please go ahead and close this ticket.
The issue was resolved for this specific hardware.
In order to bring back network connectivity after the latest round of upgrades, the SMC RESET + PRAM RESET had to be performed.
After the reset, host rebooted with gnome UI under network settings, network broadcasted once more listed and host connects to wifi as expected.

Thank you all for your time looking in to it and your support, and development efforts.
Thank's to debian team, this peace of hardware, no longer supported by apple, still runs most modern, stable and secure OS - Debian Bullseye.
Damien.
