ELF object binary architecture: AMD x86-64
Hi Christoph, Hmm... it starts and runs here, so I don't think it is broken for everyone. I uninstalled and reinstalled to be sure that I'm running the binaries from the archive. Perhaps related to differences in windowing setups? I'm running xwayland and Gnome. Looking at your stack trace, my first guess is that this is an issue introduced in libzia based on this bit. I will poke through the libzia changes. Thanks, tony
Re: tony mancill Fair enough. It worked for me before in the sense that I could see the UI, but I never got it to do anything useful for me. I always attributed it to me being too lazy to read the documentation, but I think last time I actually tried to find some documentation on how to use it, but didn't find anything. (So I ended up using tlf to log a VHF+ contest which is less than ideal because it really doesn't like frequencies that have too many digits.) X and awesome here, no desktop environment. Thanks Christoph
Hello Christoph, hello tony, The crash looks like it happened in crocus_dri.so. Could the possible difference be the gpu driver that is in use on your systems. As far as I see crocus is for Intel gpus, and arrived just last year in Mesa. Therefore it might be just reproducible with this hardware. From [1] it might be possible to use another driver. Maybe MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=i965 could work for this hardware? Kind regards, Bernhard [1] https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/OpenGL#Installation

Re: tony mancill Is it just broken for me and Bernhard, or for most people? Christoph
Christoph Berg wrote: the version from package 4.36-2 works for me, with "LC_ALL=C tucnak" and without LC_ALL set
Re: Daniele Forsi Ok, let's downgrade it then since it doesn't affect me in the sense I'm not using the package (though I probably should once I start doing more VHF contests). But something in there is quite broken, it was still crashing here when I wrote the previous mail. Christoph DF7CB
Thank you Christoph. I agree completely that something has gone wrong since I uploaded 4.36. I simply haven't been able to reproduce it yet locally. The new priority seems appropriate to me. I see that 4.37 has been released. I will get an update into unstable soon. Cheers, tony
