Dear Maintainer,

the metapackage installs just the bare the package minetest with the
bare game; for the best enjoyment however a selection of mods is
required: could you please add them to the metapackage?

alternatively, the minetest source package could build a metapackage
like “minetest-mods-finest”, and that could be installed by
games-finest.

As for the selection of which mods to include, I defer to the choice of
the maintainer (I see as a start that minetest Suggests
minetest-mod-moreblocks, minetest-mod-moreores, minetest-mod-pipeworks,
minetest-server, minetestmapper; personally I tend to add a few more)

there are multiple options (different GUIs or flavors) then only one is chosen.
Mods and addons are optional, some people find them useful and others prefer
different ones. It would be impossible to satisfy every user request.

That could be an option for minetest. If those mods are really required to
enjoy the game then minetest should simply add them to Recommends. If they are
nice to have then adding them to Suggests would also make sense. In any case
games-finest is the wrong place to discuss this topic. This issue should be
solved by minetest and games-finest would automatically pick up the changes.

I leave the decision to someone else because I don't regularly play the game
anymore.
