I intend to orphan the netkit-ntalk package.

The package description is:
Talk is a visual communication program which copies lines from your terminal
 to that of another user.
 .
In order to talk locally, you will need to install the talkd package.

I intend to adopt netkit-ntalk package.
I plan to bump new standard-version, merge the new changes into the
Debian Salsa repository, and prepare an updated revision for upload to
Debian Mentors.

The package description is:
Talk is a visual communication program which copies lines from your terminal
 to that of another user.
 .
In order to talk locally, you will need to install the talkd package.

best regards

I am still actively interested in adopting this package. I noticed the
latest upload was a QA upload that removed my adoption intent. I would
appreciate it if we could discuss the path to maintenance rather than
bypassing the adoption process.

Hi Iliya,

in general, mailing the wnpp bug does not reach anyone specifically.
If you want to discuss something with someone specific, you need to
email them. An option is to put them into CC: onto bug emails.

Why do you think this is the case? The QA upload did not change the
effective maintainership status of the package.

As said above, I think you are misguided here.

I'm also unsure who you want to "discuss the path to maintenance"
with. Which steps are you missing? Why is your package not uploaded
yet?

Best,
Chris
