* Package name : hydrogen-doc Version : 1.1.1 Upstream Author : The hydrogen development team <hydrogen-devel@lists.sourceforge.net> * URL : https://github.com/hydrogen-music/documentation * License : TBD, but almost certainly GPL-2+ (https://github.com/hydrogen-music/documentation/issues/73) Programming Lang: XML Description : Manual and Tutorial for the Hydrogen drum machine This is the documentation and translation project for the Hydrogen drum machine. In includes a manual in Catalan, English, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch, as well as a tutorial in English, French, and Italian. Upstream's preferred form of modification for these docs is an independent git project, so it looks to me like it would be best to create a new src:hydrogen-doc package to takeover bin:hydrogen-doc, rather than to migrate src:hydrogen to the multitarball format. Ideally this package should be maintained on the Debian Multimedia team. I might package it in a month, if I can find time then, and if no one steps forward before then, but I'd sincerely appreciate if someone else has the time motivation to maintain this new package :) Regards, Nicholas
Also, I have to cut the tutorial.html from what would have been
src:hydrogen_1.2.0~beta1-1~exp1, because it's no longer DFSG-compliant.
If I remember correctly, this used to be a hand-written file, but
sometime in the past few years it began to be generated based on the
proposed src:hydrogen-doc upstream project. See the following upstream
statement:
The [src:hydrogen] tarball includes the generated documentation for
1.0. The other files are the source files of the documentation, so
in my opinion they are not needed in the tarball. For development
purposes, you need the git repo, not the tarball.
