Try removing that %eth0 from the ipv6 address.

Why would it? Is your setup so complex that the network stack can't find
the right interface to send packets through?

It’s a link-local address. These do by definition need the interface
specified because they aren’t global.

Please do read up on IPv6 basics when commenting on IPv6 specifics…

That’s the point of this bugreport. It works in lynx, but lynx
was not sufficient to configure this picky network device. The
link-local IP address was the only way to reach it without a
full factory reset, due to… reasons. This cost quite some effort.
