Every time a new file is created appears the message "File Backup Failed.
Unknown error".However, the backup is usually done in the/Home/User/Documents

I tried to reproduce your problem on version 24.12.2 and failed.

Does the problem still occur to you?
Given the long time since you first filed the bug reports it is likely
that it has been fixed upstream since then.

The most recent version as a different folder set for backup file (see
preferences). For me this is in ~/.local/share/ghostwriter/backups/ (I
believe this is the default). I do not know what the default was for 2.1.6.
