Hello, during "Graphics install" you will reach the network configurations dialogs. After DHCP assignment, at the "hostname" dialog you can go back and choose to configure network manually.

If you set a static address, the configuration will not be saved in the '/etc/network/interfaces' file on the target system.
In other words, after setting a manual ip address during install, at reboot upon installation completion, you will not find the static address in the '/etc/network/interfaces' file on the newly installed system. It happens with debian-11.6.0-amd64-netinst.iso

Thank you

Hello,

I tried it (letting DHCP succeed but then got back and
configure statically) and I did get the static configuration in
/etc/network/interfaces. So it seems we can't reproduce the issue,
perhaps there are more details that make it fail in your case, that you
need to determine.

Hello Samuel, thanks. I made a video, you can find it here <https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/0c7o3zdpCq_oKVfmAd9-Dy8hA#Registrazione_schermo_2023-01-11_alle_05.08>.

This <https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/0bch-HWZyTl9IXPx5wg5r32jQ#debian-11.6> is the iso I used during install.

As you can see at the end of the video and in the next screenshot, it seems only IPV6 has been configured with autoconfiguration, the manual configuration of IPV4 is missing.

Let me know if I can help further, thanks again.

Ah, there is IPv6 in the story. I can indeed reproduce it with qemu with e.g.
