Dear Maintainer,

xdaliclock 2.46 in Testing removes all of the command line switches
that were previously available in 2.44 (in Stable). Removed switches
include: -12, -24, -showtime, -showdata, -seconds, -noseconds, -cycle,
-nocycle, -countdown, -display, -visual, -install, -geometry, -fg, -bg,
-rv, -bw, -bd, -title, -name, -fullscreen, -root, -window -datemode,
-fn, -builtin, -builtin0, -builtin1, -builtin2, -builtin3, -builtin4,
-memory, -oink, -oink-oink, -transparent, -nontransparent.

Needless to say, it is difficult to customize how the program runs if it
does not support all the switches. For now, i have reverted to the 2.44
from Stable.

Things change. Intentionally. It's better now. Adjust and move on with your life.

Your little program has been a constant part of my Linux desktop since around 1998. And i had no idea that 2.46, which looks like a minor update from the version number, was such a major rewrite under the hood. In the past, i configured xdaliclock via a janky combination of window manager hints, Xresources, and command line switches. I just played with the new version though, and see that if i just resize the window that the font adjusts automatically, and if i place the clock where i want it, it will reopen at that spot the next time i run it. Perfect! No more need for the old way of configuring it. You're right, this is indeed better. Thank you for keeping this old program alive!
