i noticed that `calendar` reports:
Mar 05 	Mother-in-Law Day, USA

cf. `/usr/share/calendar/calendar.usholiday`.

it appears that while the first observance was celebrated on March 5,
1934[1] it is currently the fourth Sunday in October[2].
