It would be nice to have an "attic" funtion to keep
the last n versions or all package versions newer than n days ago
of every package in case of breakage. Also it would be nice if there
was a setting to keep "obsolete" (packages no longer in a source)
packages in a special attic. Every attic should have a package
index generated in case one has to downgrade to attic packages.

I don't understand a thing in all those sed and awk scripts or
else I would do the stuff myself. I hacked in a simple attic once
which wasn't too hard. Maybe it's not too much work for you.
