Attempting to add a printer because installed system printer not found.
Gnome Settings -> Printer dialogue sugggests that the feature needs to
be unlocked. No unlock button on screen bar in focus. Padlock icon and
message only.

There is a root user with a password: the first user also has sudo
privileges.
