Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading to bookworm from bullseye, I get a black screen with only the mouse pointer
showing after resuming from suspend. System runs normally, and I can change to different
consoles and get a text display, but the display of my X session remains black.
I have an NVidia GTX 1600 card, and tested original drivers version
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-525.116.04
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-535.54.03 (the most up-to-date driver)
but the problem persists.
There were no such issues on Bullseye at all, using some driver 525.* whose exact version
I don't remember, but which also showed the problem.
There is no practical workaround I know of, other than not to suspend, or to shut down
and lose my session (as most programs I use are not restored).
My desktop is KDE, and I'm not sure if this is an issue with X, KDE, the NVidia driver, or
something else altogether.
I'm aware of bug report #1032647, but using the latest driver did not work for me.
Regards
Ralph
