   * What led up to the situation?

    Pressing dead key for example acute accent is not working in whole Krita
input: naming layers, Text tool...

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

    Naming a layer or entering text in Text tool. For example: 'á'


   * What was the outcome of this action?

   Dead key did nothing, it just show the simple letter. Instead of, for
example, 'á' it is obtained and showed 'a'.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

   Get the right letter: á.

I use a US keyboard and type pt_BR with the Compose key, and it also
fails here.
