   * What led up to the situation?

   When manualy copy many images (>400) to Variety's Favorites directory,
   plasmashell eating huge memory, from 600 MB to 2.8 GB RAM.


   I used  Variety as desktop background manager,  and use it setting backgrounds, include Favorites
   direcotry as one image source.
