Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
	This happens sometimes upon shutdown/reboot while logged in (KDE Plasma).

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
	Selected shutdown/reboot from menu.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
	SDDM fails to terminate and has to be killed. This causes a delay of the shutdown/reboot due to a timeout of 90s.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
	SDDM should be terminated and no delay should occur.

I attached the output of journalctl -rb -1.

According to sddm development https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/
1476#issuecomment-1152889613, this should be fixed with version 0.20.

Various mitigation operations like switching VT are presented in that thread.

Is there any hope of getting a backport / update of sddm 0.20 into
bookworm anytime soon? Or potentially backporting whatever the actual
fix was upstream to 0.19?

I see that trixie has a version that's behaving correctly now, but
unfortunately trying to install that deb onto my bookworm system by
itself yields some errors. (Which isn't totally surprising, by any
means.)
