The fix in version -9 did not really work because the error was like this:

dpkg-source: info: local changes detected, the modified files are:
 node-base64url-3.0.1/readme.html
 node-base64url-3.0.1/readme.txt

but the files were added to debian/clean as README.html and README.txt.
