I intend to orphan the barcode package ( https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/barcode ). Others are free to adopt it. The packaging status itself is stable and clean, and upstream is not very active. The package description is: GNU-barcode can create printouts for the conventional product-tagging standards: UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-13, EAN-8, ISBN, and several others. Output is generated as either Postscript, Encapsulated Postscript, SVG, or PCL. Regards, Boyuan Yang
I intend to adopt the `barcode` package. It is currently orphaned, and I plan to maintain it. Regards! Doan Manh
Hi, about a year ago, you expressed interest in maintaining barcode in Debian. However, you did not adopt the package with your upload of 0.99-9. Are you still interested in maintaining barcode in Debian? Cheers, sur5r
Hi, I just don't know how to adopt it, closing this ticket will do it?
In short: You need to upload a new version with yourself as Maintainer and a changelog entry closing this bug. See [2] and [3] for an example. Hi Jakob, I already did it, I uploaded version 99-9 là to close this bug in change logs but I think it is removed by maintainer and replace by another update.
