I am no longer interested in maintaining this package.
db5.3 is a package that should be removed in the long run.
Please do not update it to newer versions which have a different license
that is not suitable for this kind of software (at least in Debian).

So maintaining the package should not take a lot of time.
It is a pseudo-essential package and as such has a very high popcon.
I have filed #1032207 to eliminate it from that set, which you might want to follow-up.
