Should that not go to the upstream package, possibly via the R Translations
project (where AFAIK German po files are handled by Detlef Steuer) ?

Yes, thanks, I know -- I run a cronjob scanning CRAN for new packages and
updates every hour:  https://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/cranberries/  (also eg on
Mastodon as @CRANberriesFeed)  but this being a travel weekend in the US I
was gone a few days.  I just updated the package.

Thanks for contributing the translations, much appreciated (even if I
emigrated 'von daheim' a few years before I got into Debian (and R) in the
nineties.
