Dear Maintainer,

Since the last update of Firefox in Sid, when I try to use Firefox with
BigBlueButton to do a distant meeting (with microphone and webcam),
the BigBlueButton tab start using 100% of one cpu, and in a minute or
two, freeze. Other tab or the main firefox interface still works well.

I try to run firefox with --safe-mode, and the problem is still there.

The same BigBlueButton instance works very well with the firefox version
just before, and still works well in chromium.

Other websites doesn't have this problem (I quickly tried a jitsi meet
instance with also microphone and webcam, seems to works...)

Thanks for your work to maintain firefox in debian!

Hi,

I see the same behaviour with https://maps.google.com, which might be an
easier test-case, since no Big Blue Button instance is needed. This is a
regression since 119.

Greetings,

Hi,

Just to add that in version 120, the tabs are freezing (somewhat
randomly, perhaps; I couldn't identify a pattern).

Even pressing F5 doesn't reload the pages; it's necessary to close the
tab and open it again.

This issue doesn't exist in version 119.

Best regards,
Nelson

Seems like the Dark Reader extension is the culprit on my side. I can't seem to
be able to reproduce the issue when I disable it.

But Firefox should also not allow an extension to bring it to its
knees like this.
