The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least arm64 with
cython 3.0.5, but succeeds to build with cython 0.29.36.  Please
update the package to build with cython 3.0.5 (available in experimental).

If the package cannot be built with cython 3.0.5, please change the
build dependency from cython3 to cython3-legacy (available now in
unstable).  There is no replacement for cython3-dbg.

Hi,

I tried building the current status in Git and realised that the
suggested patch is not sufficient.  I decided to relax the versioned
dependency from cython[1] which at least let the configure and build
step pass.  Unfortunately the cython3-legacy build dependency led to 5
errors and thus I tried cython3 instead which only leads to 2 errrors
which you can hopefully reproduce in a couple of minutes in Salsa CI[2]
(I'm going AFK instantly so can not check any more).

May be it is appropriate to skip those two tests?  I'll leave this
decision to you since I do not know this package sufficiently enough.

Thanks for your work.

I forgot push my last changes. I have already fixed the two tests. One
of them is that upstream is using a deprecated method in tests [0]. The
other issue was that they still use asyncore [1].

Now I will upload python-cassandra-driver soon.
