Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

apt update && apd upgrade

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Launch firefox-esr

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Firefox starts, but stay freezed with 100% core usage. Impossible to change
tabs, nor close tabs, nor close firefox.
Only solution is to kill it.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Work as expected.

I tried :

MOZILLA_DISABLE_PLUGINS=1 firefox-esr

firefox-esr -safe-mode
and it stills freeze

I am able to start it using a new profile.

Which process specifically is using the CPU?

Does it happen if you use 115.6.0esr from upstream[1]?

The process is firefox-esr

Yes.

I also tried to downgrade to the previous version, but the problem is
still there.
It seems that the profile has been somehow damaged during the update
process.

I managed to use a backup to get the important files I needed and use
them into a newly created profile.
