  Description : peer-to-peer networking library

libp2p is a modular system of protocols, specifications and libraries
that enable the development of peer-to-peer network applications.
There are many distributed peer-to-peer network models
 with different challenges and tradeoffs
that try to improve on the way we network.
Libp2p aims to be a modular, general-purpose toolkit
 for any peer-to-peer application.

This package is needed transitively for safe-network (bug#1008016).

It will be maintained in the collaborative debian section of Salsa, at
<https://salsa.debian.org/debian/rust-libp2p>.

Release 0.56.0 succesfully builds
as an unofficial draft package
when embedding 3 crates (2 missing, 1 ahead)
which needs to be packaged before this can officially enter Debian.

Main task now is to package the remaining missing Rust crates.

Here's how you can help:

As user running Debian, you can test this draft package:
Either build it yourself from source,
or if you want to test the binary that I've built
then tell by posting to this bugreport and I will share that.

As developer (any developer: you need not be official member of Debian!)
you can join the Debian Rust team and help package these missing crates:
