retitle 1063591 RFP: anew -- Tool for adding new lines to files, skipping duplicates (program) noowner 1063591 The anew project isn't very active at the moment. There are open bug issues on GitHub that haven't been addressed. For this reason, I won't proceed with the effort to package anew for Debian. I've opened an issue on the project's GitHub repository, but haven't received any responses. This is yet another reason not to pursue this packaging task further. I am immensely grateful for the work done by the upstream team, but adhering to Debian's best practices, it doesn't make sense to continue with this packaging endeavor.
