Hi,

I noticed that the upstream repository has been cleaned and old commits
are not available anymore. Also all older releases have been removed
from GitHub.
An upstream issue has been created about this [1] but has been closed
without much further information. I just wanted to raise this, as it
would be good to rule out any security, legal or other concerns which
might have lead to this decision.

Best
Matthias

Looks like the repository is back at:

https://github.com/GrokImageCompression/grok

No idea what might have happened.

Cheers,
Emilio

Hello,

Project maintainer here.

Yes, the source repository was recently reorganized. Commit history was squashed and
old releases removed. However, the project continues to be maintained - bugs are fixed and user issues are addressed in issue tracker.

The reason behind the reorg - this project is feature complete and no new features will be added. Bugs will continue to be fixed, and third party dependencies will be updated from time to time.

Old releases were removed - no time to support old releases.
History was squashed - no longer need full history

10.0.5-1 is quite old and the current version is 13.0.1. This newer version has many bug fixes and a few new features. I plan on releasing a new package for 13.0.1 this month and pushing it to testing.

Kind Regards,
Aaron
