Hi, A new upstream version 13.3 is available[1]. It is also a little confusing in that the auctex version on ELPA is already at 14.0.4[2]. It may worth figuring out which is the authentic upstream. I have made 2 pull requests based on the 13.3 release, one is for the upstream branch[3] and the other is for the master branch[4]. As noted in [3], a tag `upstream/13.3' should be created on upstream branch for `git deborig' to work. Upstream has changed the pattern of tag from "release_X_X" to "auctex-X.X.X"[1]. The latest release is now at 14.0.7. As mentioned in the previous message, I'd like to help with the Elpafication of AUCTeX as well as bringing this up-to-date. Thanks for considering. [1] https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/auctex.git
I too would like to see an update on this. The current version (13.2) seems to be old even by Debian stable standards. Also, it doesn't seem to load correctly on the Emacs version provided in stable (30.1). Take this with a grain of salt, however I still haven't tested it thoroughly. Thank you for your attention.
Hello, A bit of info here for auctex users under Debian. It's a long time since I stopped submitting bug reports for auctex, but for what it's worth, EPLAising from scratch was not very difficult. See the attached file. I did it for personal use (whence the funny release name), on a Debian/sid system. It uses different package names (e.g. elpa-auctex) and adds some personal patches I asked for more than 10 years ago, you may disable those if you don't trust me :) Yours, Itaï
