The package is really useful as it allows users, to navigate the filesystem of the server, on which the instance of Cockpit installed on. In order to manage its filesystem without, needing to connect and login with SSH to do so.

The official developers of the software are currently concentrating on RPM distributions. They do have a Debian repository however the packages, are only built for Bullseye and not Debian Linux 12 or even the upcoming Debian Linux 13.
