My mouse stopped working. This had been an intermittant issue for
months, but generally a replug of the USB connector solved it, or even
just waiting a few seconds (or even minutes). Annoying, but since I try
to use it at least as possible anyway it was something I could live with.

Since yesterday, however, the pointer remains frozen. Even after a
reboot, and even on the (LightDM) login screen, leading me to believe
the problem is somehow in the driver. I'm no Debian n00b but not sure
how to further debug/solve this.

Steps I tried (besides rebooting):
- a different USB port; no effect.
- a different mouse; no effect.

Both mice I tried were optical, and the red laser lights up, so the mice
*are* recognised and powered. The pointer is fixed in the vertical
middle on the left-hand side of my screen. Unfortunately I no longer
have a non-optical or non-USB mouse available to test with.

I run Debian Testing (all up to date) with kernal 6.7.12-amd64. If you
require any further information/action to be able to delve into this
issue, please let me know.
