Dear Maintainer,

The bug reporter of #1073005 has brought to my attention that src:libb64
could switch to a better maintained fork to ease maintenance.

He suggested

https://github.com/libb64/libb64

But I would also suggest

https://github.com/transmission/libb64/tree/post-2.0.0-transmission

Also, switching to modern dh would be great.

I could give it a try if you would confirm this would be okay for you.
I would prefer this package to be updated rather than going back embed
a copy in transmission source.

Thanks for considering,

Alex

FWIW both FreeBSD and Gentoo have switched to the suggested fork (last
commit 2020), while the original source on sf is quite dead (last change
2013).

Hi Alexandre,

what are the advantages of either fork? There doesn't seem to be much
development but only some cosmetics!?
Wouldn't it be possible to only have one version instead of three?
