This morning I upgraded Unstable and received a new version of xdg-desktop-
portal-gtk, which causes firefox to hang on start but it will eventually start
after 25-30 seconds.

Removing xdg-desktop-portal-gtk resolves the issue.

Are you still experiencing this bug? If you are, please provide more
details about what desktop environment you are using.

Please make sure you've upgraded to xdg-desktop-portal-gtk 1.15.2-2
and logged out and logged back in afterwards since that fixes another
bug like this.
