On http://www.nohn.net/projects/nacct-php/ you can find a patched
version of net-acct that has mysql database support enabled which
makes is so much easier to create fast queries. Of course, to
maintain backward compatibility this version can also log to the
files just as before using the same config file etc.

I like to see this version packaged as Debian version because
apart from net-acct there's no other good ip acct tool (I don't
like ipac) and esp. none with database backend.

But packaging a nearly identical version would be bad, too, so
I ask you if you would include it. You can get help and soon some
SQL statements/daily cron queries for examples/ from me.
