Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading libvte-2.91-0 at version 0.77.91-2 the badge is no longer
visibile and opening a new tab the cwd is resetted to $HOME.

Downgrading libvte-2.91 at version 0.76.3-6 the badge is back and opening a new
tab the cwd is correct.

Please report this issue to the Tilix developers. Let them know that
the instructions at
https://gnunn1.github.io/tilix-web/manual/vteconfig/ no longer work.
https://github.com/gnunn1/tilix/issues

I am temporarily adding a RC bug to vte2.91 to prevent its migration
to Testing. However, we need the new vte2.91 in Testing so the bug
will be downgraded in a few weeks if tilix isn't fixed first.

Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha

This might be a duplicate of https://bugs.debian.org/918949 except
that Tilix upstream was able to work around the bash issue for a few
years.

I confirm that both the missing badge feature and the missing feature
to open new tabs with the same current working directory are fixed in
Ubuntu 25.10 which now includes the bash fix for
https://bugs.debian.org/675008 .

Thank you,

bash 5.3-1 was uploaded to unstable today, fixing a variety of issues
in various vte-based terminal apps. As I mentioned in
https://bugs.debian.org/675008, it is not currently planned for this
fix to be uploaded to Debian 13.

Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha
