Dear maintainer:
During a rebuild of all packages in unstable in the year 2028, your package failed to build:

The above is just how the build ends and not necessarily the most relevant part.
If required, the full build log is available here:

Note: For this particular package, since it build-depends on distro-info-data,
I also tried updating the line in debian.csv about trixie in this way:
Hi Santiago (2024.08.13_14:06:14_-0400) I wouldn't be concerned about these. distro-info-data will be kept up to date for the life of forky. That should have worked, in my testing with that change and datefudge, it resolves the distro-info-data error, however: That's due to a hardcoded list of suites in extrepo-data. I'd suggest using distro-info-data instead of that lookup, or adding forky to the list. Stefano
As per Stefano's comment, I'm lowering severity of this bug. Stefano, I believe you wrote more to me on IRC, but forgot what it was. Please write here if you remember your suggestion. Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)
Hi Thomas (2025.03.10_12:58:17_+0000) https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1078614#14 That's the RC bug here. Stefano
severity 1078614 serious thanks This is failing to build *today*, breaking our promise that all packages in trixie would build in trixie. /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tools/process Unknown Debian release: forky at /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tools/process line 30. make[1]: *** [debian/rules:7: override_dh_install] Error 255 make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' make: *** [debian/rules:4: binary] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2 IMO, it was a bad idea to downgrade the bug. It should have been fixed before the release. Please do not downgrade this category of bugs in the future. I hope you can fix this for Debian 13.1. Cc to all involved parties. Thanks.
retitle 1078614 extrepo-data: FTBFS in bookworm and trixie after trixie became the new stable found 1078614 1.0.3+deb12u1 thanks Hello. This is now happening in bookworm as well, breaking our promise that packages in bookworm must build in bookworm: Unknown Debian release: forky at /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tools/process line 29. Thomas: Would you please address this, since it's your package? (I'm Cc:ing all relevant parties anyway). Thanks.
Hi Santiago, It's not really *my* package, I share responsibility with Wouter. Anyways, the best way to fix it is probably to upgrade to the latest version in Unstable/Testing, which doesn't have the hard-coded suite list. Also, that will bring more up-to-date repo list. However, I'd like the opinion of Wouter about it. Maybe it'd be best to release 0.0.6 in unstable first, to include the latest commits to the Git, so we get even more up-to-date repo list. Your thoughts, Wouter? Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)
We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
extrepo-data, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is
attached.
Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to 1078614@bugs.debian.org,
and the maintainer will reopen the bug report if appropriate.
