My wifi router has misconfigured ipv6 settings which I cannot fix. Debian tries
to use ipv6 during installation, tries to send packages, but those won't be
sent.
While trying to send packages via ipv6, my installer hangs. The only workaround
is to set ipv6.disable=1 in grub options.

I guess, a potential user who runs into this problem may find a 'ipv4/ipv6'
swtich before the "Configure network" step useful. Or the installer should show
a message about misconfigured ipv6 on the router side when failing to send data
over ipv6 multiple times. Or the program should switch to ipv4 after multiple
fails while using ipv6. There is a plenthora of options, but the installer
should not scare off a potential new user by showing him the stopped installer
with no additional info.

configure the network?
(When booting the installer, choose "Advanced options" and then "Graphical
expert install" or "Expert install".)

You would have the option, to force IPv4 that way.

Thank you for your answer. I didn't now about the manual network
configuration in the expert mode. I'm was a new Debian user, so I decided
to use more simple way of installing

I still think that ipv4/v6/auto switch would be useful in the simple
installation mode. I guess a new user wouldn't like to go through the
expert mode just for the single option while being worried to break
something

Such a switch would be very useful in my country (Belarus) because as far
as I know our internet providers rely on ipv4 heavily and set it as default
for regular users
