Yesterday, I got a report that snapper-gui is removed from Debian testing.

The reason for removal is Debiang bug: 1073699, which is for the snapper package.
snapper is still in the archive while snapper-gui has been removed.

This is something the release team handles.  I've reassigned the bug
(hopefully correctly this time).

Hi,
snapper has an RC bug and hence it's listed for autoremoval. All reverse
dependencies of packages listed for autoremoval get also listed for
autoremoval. Packages listed for autoremoval get early warnings, so it
shouldn't come as a surprise that your package is removed. There's no
mechanism in place to guarantee this will be done in lockstep.

While it seems unfair that snapper isn't removed at the same time as
snapper-gui, that's a hard to solve problem because we're using our
migration software to do the autoremoval via removal hints and that
process isn't designed to handle removal hints in a block. So while it's
technically possible to fix this issue, I don't think anybody will spend
their time on this problem any time soon.

Hi,

The testing distribution is managed by the release team. Reasssigning
accordingly.

(Note that the bug in snapper will have to be fixed eventually either
way as snapper-gui depends on snapper.)
