Had a look, and while the package contain a debian/watch pointing to
what apear to be the correct location, upstream have failed to wrap up
tarball releases since they moved to git.  Perhaps someone could
convince them to do that again?

The change list according to the git link look like this:

makebootfat Version 1.6 2014/03
	) Updated to the new autoconf/git standard.

makebootfat Version 1.5 2012/12
	) Added a new -G option to recompute the geometry values to standard
		values overriding the system reported values.
	) Minor fixes at the documentation.
	) Now in git repository.
